Seattle Storm Announce 2007 Preseason Schedule

SEATTLE, Tuesday, Feb.27, 2007 - The Seattle Storm today announced their 2007 preseason schedule in preparation for the franchise's eighth campaign in the WNBA.

Seattle will open its preseason schedule on the road in games against the Indiana Fever at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Saturday, May 5 and the Connecticut Sun at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville on Tuesday, May 8.

The Storm will play its only home preseason game against the Sacramento Monarchs on Friday, May 11 at 7 p.m. at KeyArena.

"The preseason always gets our great Storm fans warmed up for the excitement of the regular season," said Storm Chief Operating Officer Karen Bryant. "We're excited to host Coach Boucek and the Sacramento Monarchs, at KeyArena for our preseason opener."

On Thursday, Jan. 4, the Storm announced its 34-game schedule for the 2007 WNBA regular season, the franchise's eighth year in the league. Highlights of the 2007 Storm schedule, which begins in May, include 10 weekend games against the best in the WNBA such as Los Angeles Sparks, Houston Comets, Indiana Fever and Washington Mystics.

The 2007 Storm season will open against the Houston Comets on Saturday, May 19, at 7 p.m. The following Wednesday, May 23, Seattle will host the Phoenix Mercury at 7 p.m. at KeyArena. The defending WNBA Champion Detroit Shock will visit KeyArena on Wednesday, June 20.
