
Mignardi Heads to Houston

Orlando Solar Bears News Release
Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that F Rob Mignardi has been recalled by their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Houston Aeros.
The Solar Bears originally acquired Mignardi from the Ontario Reign in exchange [image: Rob Mignardi] for future considerations on October 11. The Richmond Hill, Ontario, native has since played in all 25 games for the Solar Bears, earning five goals and five assists for 10 points. He has twice registered a game-winning goal, lifting the Solar Bears to a 5-3 win over Elmira on November 10, and helping Orlando take down Kalamazoo 4-2 on November 17.
Mignardi has played in 30 AHL games in his career, collecting three points (2 goals, 1 assist) and 23 penalty minutes (PIM). He attended training camp with Houston earlier this year.
Orlando plays their next five games away from home, returning to the Amway Center for back-to-back contests against the Florida Everblades on Thursday, December 27, and Friday, December 28. Both games begin at 7:00 p.m. Good seats are still available. Visit OrlandoSolarBearsHockey.com .
The Orlando Solar Bears, the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Minnesota Wild and AHL's Houston Aeros, are in their Out of Hibernation season and play all of their home games at the 2012 Street and Smith's Sports Business Journal Sports Facility of the Year, the Amway Center.
