Countdown to Face-Off: Kalamazoo Wings vs Evansville IceMen
December 14, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
It won't be a galaxy far, far away, but instead it will be Wings Stadium as the setting for tonight's intergalactic Stars Wars Night encounter between the Kalamazoo Wings and the Evansville IceMen. In their last meeting, the IceMen defeated the K-Wings 3-2 back on December 1st, ironically on Evansville's Star Wars Night.
Looking to rebound from a 7-3 loss to the Fort Wayne Komets on Wednesday, the K-Wings will return home to start a brief two-game home stand. On the season, Kalamazoo is 7-4-0-0 at Wings Stadium, which includes a record of 1-0-0-0 versus Evansville.
Tied with Kalamazoo for fourth place honors in the North Division, Evansville hits the ice not only trying to move ahead of the K-Wings in the standings, but to extend a streak. The IceMen enter Wings Stadium on a five-game (4-0-0-1) unbeaten streak in regulation.
