TONIGHT
The Bakersfield Condors begin a stretch of three games in three nights this weekend with their fourth meeting of the season against the Idaho Steelheads. Previously the teams met three times in Boise, with the Condors fashioning a 1-1-1-0 record. Bakersfield plays at home tomorrow night before heading out on a four-games in six nights road trip. This is game number 25 for Bakersfield and game number 13 at Rabobank Arena, where the team is 4-7-0-1. Idaho plays game number 26 tonight and road game number 11 where they are 5-3-1-1.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Bakersfield picked up their second straight win against the Stockton Thunder with a 4-1 victory on Sunday evening in Condorstown. The Condors raced out to a 3-0 lead after one period with goals from D Francis Meilleur, D Tyson Gimblett, and C Levi Nelson. G Scott Greenham took over from there, making a season-high 44 saves in the win as F Jacob Lagace tacked on the empty-netter late in the third period.
Idaho starts a three-game road trip tonight and are coming off a 4-0 shutout of the Alaska Aces on Wednesday night in Boise. G Tyler Beskorowany got the start for the Steelheads and stopped all 29 shots he faced. F Ben Ondrus, F Austin Smith, and F Justin Dowling each had first period goals as Idaho put away the Aces early in the hockey game and never looked back.
CONDORS NOTES
F Brett Lyon, signed off waivers on 12/8, recorded his first two professional points (assists) on Sunday... D Scott Enders earned the first fighting major of his career against Garet Hunt on Sunday. The Condors fighting majors total 20 on the season.... C Levi Nelson's three-point night (1g-2a) was his third of the season which leads the team. He has goals in two straight games... The Condors are 6-0-0-1 when leading after two periods... F Tyler Brenner leads the Condors against Idaho with 5 points (2g-3a) in three games.
