Michaud Called Up To Hamilton

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Long Beach Ice Dogs announced today that goaltender Olivier Michaud has been called up to the Hamilton Bulldogs, the AHL affiliate of the Ice Dogs and Montreal Canadiens.

Michaud, who has started the last ten games in place of the injured Chris Madden, has a record of 4-7-3 this season, with a goals against average of 2.91 and a .912 save percentage He has helped the Ice Dogs go 3-0-1 in their last four games, also getting one shutout in that span.

He will meet up with Hamilton today in Winnipeg for their game tomorrow night versus the Manitoba Moose. Michaud is the first Ice Dogs player to get called up this season. The Ice Dogs have a week off, playing again next Wednesday when they travel to Bakersfield to take on the West Division leading condors.

The Ice Dogs next home game will be Monday, December 27th when the defending Kelly Cup champion Idaho Steelheads make their second appearance of the season in Long Beach. Call (562) ICE-DOGS or visit www.icedogs.com for more information information.
