Two Blue Jackets Prospects Assigned To Dayton

Dayton, OH – The Dayton Bombers announced on Wednesday the addition of forward STEVE GOERTZEN and defenseman OLE-KRISTIAN TOLLEFSON to the roster. Both players were re-assigned from the American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch.

Goertzen, a 6'2", 201 pound right winger, was selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the eleventh round (225th overall) of the 2002 National Hockey League Entry Draft. He made his professional debut with the Syracuse Crunch on March 21, 2004 in Toronto. The Stony Plain, Alberta native recorded 3 assists and 4 penalty minutes in 8 games with Syracuse last season. This season, he appeared in 20 games and recorded 1 goal, 2 assists, 3 points and 46 penalty minutes for the Crunch. He will wear jersey number "12" with the Bombers.

Tollefsen, a 6'2", 200 pound defenseman, was selected by Columbus in the third round (65th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. This season with Syracuse, he recorded no points and 50 penalty minutes in 16 games. The Oslo, Norway native will wear jersey number "4" with Dayton.
