
South Carolina's Fitzsimmons Suspended Six Games

PRINCETON, N.J. â The ECHL announced on Thursday that South Carolina coach Jason Fitzsimmons has been suspended six games as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #297 against Charlotte on December 14.
At 7:53 of the second period, Fitzsimmons was assessed a minor penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct and a game misconduct under Rule 41(k) Abuse of Officials.
Fitzsimmons is suspended six games under Rule 33A Supplemental Discipline.
Fitzsimmons will miss South Carolina's games vs. Columbia (Dec. 16), at Pee Dee (Dec. 17), at Charlotte (Dec. 28), at Augusta (Dec. 30), at Greenville (Jan. 1) and vs. Florida (Jan. 7).
