IceGators acquire Dan Sullivan from Reading

December 16, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
Louisiana IceGators News Release

Lafayette, LA – Louisiana IceGators Head Coach and Vice President of Hockey Operations Todd Gordon today announced the team has acquired right wing Dan Sullivan from the Reading Royals in return for future considerations.

Sullivan 23, played in 4 games for the Royals this season, with no points and 12 penalty minutes. The native of Weston, Ontario missed all of last season with several injuries. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound right-winger appeared in just one game in 2003-04 with the AHL's Lowell Lock Monsters. He was held scoreless, but did rack up a five-minute major for dropping the gloves with former Los Angeles King, Ryan Flinn. In 2002-03 his rookie season, Sullivan appeared in 46 ECHL contests with Roanoke and Baton Rouge. He totaled eight goals and 18 points with 113 penalty minutes.

"Dan Sullivan is a hard nosed winger who should bring a lot of excitement to our fore checking system," said Gordon. "If healthy, Sullivan has AHL potential and we hope he will be able to stay on the ice and play to that level."

Individual game tickets for Friday night's game against Texas and all regular season home games are on sale now. Tickets are available at the Cajundome Box Office, and all TicketMaster outlets and online at www.ticketmaster.com. For more information call the IceGators office at (337) 234-4423.
