Memphis Hustle Announce 2018-19 Training Camp Roster

The Memphis Hustle, the NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, has finalized its 2018-19 training camp roster, the team announced today. Additionally, the team selected forward Curtis Phillips in the third round and forward Nino Johnson in the fourth round of the 2018 NBA G League Draft. Both players are Memphis natives and played at White Station High School.

Phillips (6-5, 175), played two seasons at Campbell University before transferring to Tennessee Tech where he was named to the 2018 All-OVC Second Team as a senior and averaged 14.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.79 steals in 30.6 minutes per game during the 2017-18 season.

Johnson (6-9, 245) most recently played for Thor AK Akureyri of the Icelandic Dominos League, appearing in 11 games (nine starts) averaging 17.5 points, 10.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.82 blocks and 1.64 steals in 28.5 minutes per game. He played collegiately for four seasons (2011-15) at Southeast Missouri State, playing in 119 games (78 starts) and averaging 8.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.52 blocks in 23.2 minutes per game.

2018 Memphis Hustle Training Camp, presented by Select Physical Therapy, begins on Tuesday, October 23 and all players, along with Grizzlies General Manager Chris Wallace, Hustle General Manager and Grizzlies Director of Basketball Analytics Daniel Marcus and Head Coach Brad Jones, will be available at Media Day on Thursday, Nov. 1 beginning at 10 a.m. in the Floor Seat Lounge at FedExForum.
