Agua Caliente Clippers Select Two Players in 2018 NBA G League Draft

The Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario today announced that the team has selected guard Manu Lecomte with the 20th overall selection and forward Tavrion Dawson with the 33rd overall selection in the 2018 NBA G League Draft.

Lecomte, 23, played his final two collegiate seasons at Baylor University after transferring from Miami (FL) following his sophomore season, averaging 14.2 points, 3.8 assists and 2.0 rebounds, while shooting 39.2 percent from three-point range in 32.1 minutes across 66 appearances (65 starts) for the Bears. He was named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year in 2017 and earned Third-Team All-Big 12 honors the same season, as well as Second-Team All-Big 12 honors in 2018. A native of Belgium, the 5'11", 169-pound guard appeared in four games for the Dallas Mavericks at the 2018 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, averaging 7.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 12.1 minutes.

Dawson, 21, played his sophomore, junior and senior collegiate seasons at Cal State Northridge, averaging 13.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 29.5 minutes across 90 appearances (64 starts), and earning Second-Team All-Big West honors as a senior. The 6'8", 202-pound forward hails from Harbor City, CA and attended Junipero Serra High School.
