TAMPA, Florida - A challenging stretch on the Memphis 901 FC schedule, and a four-match road trip, continued Saturday night at Tampa Bay Rowdies, with the home club picking up a 5-0 win.
Including this match against third-place Tampa Bay (14-4-7, 49 pts), Memphis has played eight-straight matches against teams in the playoff picture at the time 901 FC played them.
Kwadwo Poku had two goals for Tampa Bay, and its other goals were scored by Andrew Tinari, Leo Fernandes, and Malik Johnson.
901 FC's (4-13-7, 19 pts) road trip continues Wednesday night at Atlanta United 2 at 6:30 (CT). Memphis' next match in Downtown Memphis is Saturday, Sept. 7 against Swope Park Rangers.
