Mechanics avenge Wednesday's loss with 6-4 beating of Fury

FRASER, MI - The Motor City Mechanics have handed the Muskegon Fury their sixth loss of the season as Brent Gretzky leads the way with a four assist night in front of 1,600 fans at the Great Lakes Sports City Arena.
Muskegon jumped ahead early just 2:30 into the game but the Mechanics responded just 2:18 later when Adam Edinger netted his 33rd goal of the season. That goal leaves him just three away from tying an all-time franchise mark for goals in a season at 36.
The Mechanics and Fury would trade goals throughout the game however the Mechanics would tally more as Mike Burgoyne, Vlad Serov, Mel Angelstad, David Herring and Greg Bullock all scored to win the game 6-4.
Brent Gretzky assisted on four of the Mechanics six goals and Vlad Serov netted three points on the night (1g, 2a).
Rod Branch, who continues at a record pace, made his league leading 45th start in net making 34 saves for his league leading 22nd win of the season.
Tomorrow, Saturday the Flint Generals return to the barn for the second annual Pink at The Rink. The Mechanics will be wearing Pink jerseys to be auctioned off after the game to benefit the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation. Face-off: 7:30 PM

The "Name that Line" contest is underway as many entries have already been submitted. Fans have until midnight on February 28th to submit their entries to name the Edinger, Szabo, Gretzky line. The winning name will be revealed on March 3rd during the first intermission.
