DANBURY, CT - Kris Tebbs made a season-high 46 saves, and Ryan Bennett scored two third-period goals, to lead the Adirondack Frostbite to a 5-2 win over the Danbury Trashers at the Danbury Ice Arena. The Frostbite pull to within seven points of the Trashers with six games in hand.

The Frostbite power play went to work early in the game, giving Adirondack a 1-0 lead just 3:56 into the contest. Sylvain Cloutier took a centering feed in front and fanned on his first attempt, but he was able to quickly regain control and slid a shot past Sylvain Daigle for his 15th of the season.

Adirondack doubled its lead at 9:41. Mike Berry won a face-off to David Moccia along the left-wing wall. Moccia sent the puck to Dmitri Suur at the left point, and Suur's quick wrist shot beat Daigle to the glove side for his second of the year.

After a scoreless second period, Bennett provided the Frostbite with some breathing room, scoring his fourth goal of the season 2:12 into the third period. Mark Hurtubise created a steal on a Danbury clearing attempt, and fed Bennett skating down the right-wing side. Bennett deked Daigle to the ice and slid a shot home on the near post to make it 3-0.

Danbury got on the board for the first time at 6:30. Alex Goupil dropped a pass for Carlyle Lewis at the top of the right-wing circle, and Lewis beat Tebbs to the blocker pad side for his eighth of the season.

But, the Frostbite came right back 1:25 later to regain their three-goal advantage. Chris Mei kept the puck in at the left point and sent a shot to the front of the net that was deflected home by Blue Bennefield, who picked up his 10th goal of the season.

Mike Omicioli pulled the Trashers back within two with 7:10 left in the third period. Omicioli carried the puck across the Frostbite line, taking a quick shot from the top of the circles. Tebbs was able to get a piece of the shot, but the puck rolled behind him and across the line to make it 4-2.

Bennett added his second of the night, a power-play goal at 16:58 to make it 5-2, as he put home the rebound of a Greg Koehler shot.
