LAST WEEK: Adirondack took two of three games from Muskegon in their first-round best-of-seven Colonial Cup Playoff series. The Fury hold a three games to two lead in the series, with game six set for Monday night in Muskegon.

Wednesday, April 26 vs. Muskegon FROSTBITE 6 Fury 3

Adirondack recorded its first win in the series, thanks to a quick start. Mark Hurtubise and Sylvain Cloutier scored goals just 1:11 apart in the opening 4:35 of the opening period. Greg Koehler provided the Frostbite with a 3-0 lead after one period with a power-play goal at 14:33. Hugo Belanger continued the offensive surge 4:13 into the second period. After the Fury got on the scoreboard at 6:12, Blue Bennefield restored the four-goal advantage with his first of the playoffs at 12:48. Muskegon mounted a rally, scoring once late in the second and again early in the third, but Koehler set the final, scoring an empty-net goal at 18:02.

Friday, April 28 vs. Muskegon FROSTBITE 8 Fury 3

Greg Koehler tied an Adirondack record with four goals, and Kris Tebbs made 39 saves to pull the Frostbite even at two games a piece. Once again, the Frostbite got off to a quick start as Koehler, Blue Bennefield, and Ryan Bennett tallied first-period goals. The onslaught continued in period two as Koehler, Hugo Belanger, and Mark Hurtubise all lit the lamp. Koehler completed his hat trick 17 seconds into the third period giving Adirondack a 7-0 lead. The Fury scored three quick goals late in the third, but Koehler's big night came to an end with 21 seconds left, as he scored his fourth goal to set the final.

Saturday, April 29 vs. Muskegon Fury 3 FROSTBITE 2

Bob Rapoza broke a scoreless tie 13:40 into the second period with his second of the series, and the Frostbite carried the 1-0 lead into the third period. Muskegon got on the board 6:49 into the final period on a Trevor Johnson tally, and then took its first lead of the night at 16:28 on a Billy Collins rebound score. The Frostbite were not done yet, as Sylvain Cloutier scored on a power play at 17:43 to tie the score at 2. But, Collins struck again just 33 seconds later, again putting a rebound past Kris Tebbs to give the Fury a 3-2 win, and the series lead by the same margin.

The Frostbite face a must-win situation on Monday in game six. Adirondack is 0-3 at Walker Arena this season, including losses in the first two games of the series.

- Greg Koehler is tied for the playoff lead with seven goals in five games. Entering this season, he had scored six goals in 34 career playoff games.

- Adirondack has been out-scored 11-4 in the third period through the first five games of the series.

- Hugo Belanger, Sylvain Cloutier, and Mark Hurtubise all have tallied at least one point in each of the first five games of the series.

- Bob Rapoza is tied for the playoff lead with a +8 rating.

- The Frostbite have scored at least one power-play goal in each of the first five games, and lead all playoff teams with eight power-play tallies.
