McFadden Named Hy-Grade Steel Roofing Player of the Week

The Guelph Storm announced today that defenceman Garrett McFadden is the HY GRADE STEEL ROOFING Player of the Week for the week ending January 10th, 2016.

McFadden has his best game of the weekend on Sunday against the Flint Firebirds. Named first star of the game, the Kincardine native led the team with a goal and two assists in the 4-1 victory. Held off the scoresheet on Saturday in London, McFadden scored his sixth of the year in Friday's 5-2 win over the Barrie Colts.

McFadden currently sits second on the Storm in overall scoring with 26 points, two points behind James McEwan. He leads the team in assists with 19 and is tied with Luke Burghardt for the lead in powerplay goals with 4. he has collected at least one point in 10 of his last 12 games played.

Next up, the Storm face a busy week on home ice hosting the London Knights on Wednesday night at 7pm. The Owen Sound Attack visit the Eye of the Storm on Friday night at 7:30pm before the Peterborough Petes are in town on Sunday at 3pm.
