(Windsor, ON) - General Manager Warren Rychel has announced a pair of acquisitions ahead of today's Ontario Hockey League trade deadline.

The club has added Belle River native Brett Primeau from the Kingston Frontenacs, in exchange for future considerations. Primeau has split this season between the Cobourg Cougars of the OJHL and the Pembroke Lumber Kings of the CCHL, recording six goals and six assists in 28 combined games.

Primeau has played 78 career regular season and playoff games for the LaSalle Vipers, accumulating 35 goals and 27 assists. He was named co-winner of the Vipers 2014-15 Rookie of the Year award after posting 27 goals and 46 points in 46 games, and helped the team reach the Sutherland Cup Finals.

Originally an 8th round pick of the Frontenacs in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection, Primeau will report to LaSalle.

The club has also acquired the rights to 1997-born defenceman Ryan Sarris from the Niagara IceDogs, in exchange for future considerations. Sarris has played two games with the Vipers this season, after playing parts of two seasons with the Whitby Fury of the OJHL.

Sarris will remain in LaSalle.
