Previewing This Week
Monday & Tuesday, Nov. 21 & 22 at Orlando - 6:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. | Home vs. ORL (0-0-0), Away vs. ORL (0-0-0)
The Mavericks continue their trip of firsts this week when they visit the Orlando Solar Bears for the first time in team history. The pair of games mark the only meetings between the Mavericks and Solar Bears this season. Orlando is in the midst of a 10-game home stand that stretches from November 10 to December 2. The Solar Bears are 2-2-0 on the home stand so far, and 3-5-0 at home this season. The Mavericks, meanwhile, started off their five-game road trip with a 4-3 shootout win over Florida on Saturday. Missouri is 2-1-1 in its last four road games after starting the season 0-4-0 away from home.
Saturday & Sunday, Nov. 26 & 27 at Indy - 6:35 p.m. & 2:05 p.m. | Home vs. IND (1-0-0), Away vs. IND (0-0-0)
The Mavericks visit the Fuel for post-Thanksgiving festivities this Saturday and Sunday to close out their season series. Missouri grabbed the upper hand with a 2-1 win over the Fuel in its home opener on October 22. The Mavericks have visited Indy once in each of their first two seasons in the ECHL and are 1-1-0 at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. The last time the Mavericks were in Indianapolis, February 23, 2016, they skated away with a 5-3 win sparked by two-point nights (1g, 1a each) from Rocco Carzo and Andrew Courtney.
Recapping Last Week
Tues., Nov. 15 vs. Allen: W 5-3
The Mavericks surged ahead of the Americans with a three-goal first period and built a 4-0 lead through two periods in their inaugural Education Day Game. That cushion provided enough room for the Mavericks to hold off Allen's furious comeback bid in the third period. Five different Mavericks scored and Eamon McAdam backstopped the win. Sat., Nov. 19 at Florida: SOW 4-3
The Mavericks' first ever game in Florida proved to be a memorable one as they erased a two-goal third-period deficit to beat the ECHL's top team in a shootout. Sam Povorozniouk shined for the Mavericks with two goals in regulation and the shootout winner, while Kevin Tansey added his first pro goal and Josh Robinson earned the win with 33 saves.
