Brycen Martin Recalled to AHL-Rochester

ELMIRA, N.Y.- The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, announced today that defenseman Brycen Martin has been recalled by the Americans . It's the second time this season he's been recalled to Rochester since being assigned to the Jackals for the first time on Oct. 19.
Martin, 20, is in his first professional season and has appeared in 10 games with the Jackals, registering three points (1g, 2a). The Sabres 3rd round pick, number 74 overall, in the 2014 NHL draft, Martin scored his first professional goal, a power-play goal, last night against the Brampton Beast. He picked up his first pro points, two assists, Nov. 12 against the Beast .
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound defenseman began the regular season with the Amerks, but has not skated in a game for Rochester this season. Martin was also recalled by Rochester Oct. 26 before being reassigned to the Jackals on Halloween. He did appear in two games for the Amerks at the end of the 2014-15 season, but he did not record a point.
