Alaska Aces News Release
ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - A pair of Aces...forward Stephen Perfetto and goaltender Michael Garteig, are heading to the AHL.
Perfetto, the Aces leading scorer, is on his way to the San Antonio Rampage, who sit in 7th place in the AHL's Pacific Division. The 25 year old Perfetto, of Woodbridge, Ontario, has 7 goals and 15 assists for Alaska in 12 games. This is his first AHL call-up, though he did attend Utica's pre-season training camp.
San Antonio's next game is Friday at home against Texas.
Garteig has fashioned a 7-1-0 record for Alaska. He was called up to NHL Vancouver last week to serve as a back-up, then returned to the Aces to backstop 2 wins at Wichita. Garteig, 25, of Prince George, BC, has a 2.39 GAA and save percentage at 93% for the Glacier Blue.
Utica's next game is Wednesday at home against Syracuse.
"Both Stephen and Michael have performed exceptionally well so far this season," said Aces Head Coach and President of Hockey Operations Rob Murray. "They've earned their call-ups and we wish them the best."

The Aces take on the rival Utah Grizzlies Friday, November 25, Saturday, November 26 and Sunday, November 27 at the Sullivan Arena.
