ORLANDO, Fla. - Tonight the Missouri Mavericks are looking for their second win in as many tries in the Sunshine State. The Mavericks took down league-leading Florida in a shootout 4-3 on Saturday night and now turn their attention to their first-ever meeting with the Orlando Solar Bears

CHECKING THE RIVALRY
The Mavericks are facing the Solar Bears tonight for the first of two meetings this season, both on the road, and the first time in the history of either team. The Mavericks and Solar Bears have been in the ECHL for a combined six years with Orlando joining in 2012 and the Mavericks in 2014. The Mavericks are the first non-South Division opponent that the Solar Bears will face this season. The Mavericks, meanwhile, have played 10 of their first 13 games (77%) against non-divisional opponents. The Mavericks come into this game with back-to-back wins for the first time this season while the Solar Bears are 2-2-0 in their last four (all on home ice). Orlando has played 8 of its first 12 at home while Missouri has played 8 of its first 13 on the road.
