Rush extend winning streak to four games
With a three-game sweep of their road trip last week, the Rapid City Rush extended their overall winning streak to four games and have improved their overall record to 6-9-1 for 13 points.
The Rush opened their road trip with a 2-0 win at Tulsa on Wednesday. Mark Cooper and Brenden Walker tallied the Rush's goals, Josh Macdonald notched a pair of assists and Adam Morrison turned aside all 37 shots he faced to post the shutout.
Rapid City skated away with a 3-2 victory over the Oilers on Friday. Lindsay Sparks led the way offensively with a pair of assists while Morrison stopped 36 shots to improve to 3-0-0 on the season.
The road trip ended with a 6-3 win at Allen on Saturday. Macdonald tallied three points (1g-2a), Lindsay Sparks scored a pair of goals and Marek Langhamer turned aside 33 shots in his first start with the Rush this season to pick up the win in goal.
Sparks is tied for second in the league with 10 goals and 23 points while he leads the league with nine power-play points (6g-3a). Ryan Walters is tied for third with 16 assists and is tied for fifth with 21 points and Macdonald is tied for 10th with 19 points (8g-11a). Garrett Haar is tied for second in the league with six power-play assists.
Rapid City, which has gone 6-3-1 in its last 10 games, hosts Colorado on Wednesday before visiting the Eagles on Friday and Saturday.

Eastern Conference
Florida at Adirondack (Tuesday and Saturday) / Florida at Manchester (Wednesday and Friday)
The top three teams in the Eastern Conference combine for four head-to-head match-ups in the week ahead. Florida remains the only team in the league to have not suffered a regulation loss (10-0-3) while Adirondack (9-3-3) and Manchester (10-4-1) are tied for first place in the North Division with 21 points each.
Western Conference
Fort Wayne at Toledo (Friday)
The Walleye have a league-leading 24 points (12-3-0) and have scored a league-best 65 goals while the Komets are 8-3-2 and are in third place of the Central Division, six points behind Toledo.
Divisions
North Division
Alex Wall is tied for third among rookie defensemen with 10 points (2g-8a). The Thunder are tied for the league lead with eight wins on the road. Adirondack hosts Florida on Tuesday and Saturday.
Jordan Henry is fourth among defensemen with 45 shots on goal. Brampton is second with 4.23 goals per game. The Beast are at Orlando on Thursday and Saturday.
Kenton Miller surpassed the 100-point mark in his ECHL career with two goals on Saturday against Brampton. The Jackals are the league's least-penalized team with 8.92 penalty minutes per game. Elmira hosts Reading on Friday and Manchester on Saturday and Sunday.
Sam Brittain is tied for second with seven wins. Manchester is 5-0-0 on the road. The Monarchs host Florida on Wednesday and Friday and are at Elmira on Saturday and Sunday.
Chris McCarthy has nine points (5g-4a) in his last seven games. The Royals are tied for third with four shorthanded goals. Reading travels to Elmira on Friday and hosts Cincinnati on Saturday and Sunday.
J.P. Anderson has won each of his first four starts this season, and is 6-1-1 as a Nailer in his career. Wheeling has scored at least one power-play goal in each of its last eight games. The Nailers host Greenville on Saturday and Sunday.
South Division
Justin Buzzeo is on an 11-game point streak (7g-11a). The Gladiators have outscored their opponents 26-15 in the first period. Atlanta hosts Norfolk on Thursday and Friday and South Carolina on Sunday.
Andrew Yogan has eight points (4g-4a) in his last five games. Cincinnati is second in the league with 18 goals in the first period. The Cyclones host Quad City on Wednesday and are at Reading on Friday and Saturday.
Brant Harris has scored a goal in four of his last five games. The Everblades have outshot their opponent in each of their 13 games. Florida is at Adirondack on Tuesday and Saturday and Manchester on Wednesday and Friday.
Ahti Oksanen has four points in his last two games (3g-1a). Greenville has scored 14 of its 26 goals in the second period. The Swamp Rabbits are at Toledo on Wednesday, Kalamazoo on Friday and Wheeling on Saturday and Sunday.
Brodie Dupont tallied four points (1g-3a) in his first three games with Norfolk. The Admirals are 2-0-2 when scoring first. Norfolk visits Atlanta on Thursday and Friday and South Carolina on Saturday.
Denver Manderson is on a six-game point streak (3g-6a). Orlando is third on the power play at 22.6 percent (14-for-62). The Solar Bears host Missouri on Monday and Tuesday and Brampton on Thursday and Saturday.
Alex Gacek and Rob Flick have both scored goals in four straight games. The Stingrays are 4-1-1 in one-goal games. South Carolina hosts Norfolk on Saturday and visits Atlanta on Sunday.
Central Division
Cody Sol is on a four-game point streak (1g-5a). Fort Wayne is 7-0-0 when scoring first. The Komets host Kalamazoo on Thursday, visits Toledo on Friday and hosts Quad City on Saturday.
Tyler Barnes set a club record with five points (1g-4a) in his team debut on Sunday against Atlanta. The Fuel are 7-2-1 against non-divisional opponents. Indy hosts Kalamazoo on Wednesday, travels to Quad City on Friday and hosts Missouri on Saturday and Sunday.
Tyler Shattock skated in his 400th career game on Saturday at Toledo. Kalamazoo is league's third-least penalized team with 10.60 penalty minutes per game. The K-Wings are at Indy on Wednesday and Fort Wayne on Thursday before hosting Greenville on Friday.
Michael Parks scored his first pro goal on Friday at Fort Wayne. The Mallards have killed off 22 of their opponents' last 23 power plays. Quad City visits Cincinnati on Wednesday, hosts Indy on Friday and is at Fort Wayne on
Tyson Spink leads rookies with 16 points (5g-11a). Toledo has had three sell-outs in its five home games. The Walleye host Greenville on Wednesday and Fort Wayne on Friday.
Adam Pleskach leads the league with 73 shots on goal. The Oilers are tied for the league lead with five shorthanded goals. Tulsa is at Wichita on Wednesday and Friday and hosts the Thunder on Saturday.
Nathan Moon had three goals last weekend, including two in his Thunder debut on Friday against Alaska. Wichita is the only team in the league to have not played an overtime or shootout game. The Thunder host Tulsa on Wednesday and Friday and visit the Oilers on Saturday.
Mountain Division
Peter Sivak leads the league with four game-winning goals. The Aces set an ECHL season high with 59 shots on goal in Sunday's 6-4 win at Wichita. Alaska hosts Utah on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Eric Roy is tied for third among defensemen with four goals. Allen is fifth with 34.13 shots per game. The Americans are at Utah on Wednesday and Idaho on Friday and Saturday.
Cole Sanford is tied for second among rookies with seven goals. The Eagles lead the league with 26 goals in the third period. Colorado visits Rapid City on Wednesday and hosts the Rush on Friday and Saturday.
Will Merchant has scored all five of his goals on the power play. Idaho has scored at least one power-play goal in 13 of its 16 games. The Steelheads host Allen on Friday and Saturday.
Dane Fox has 10 points (3g-7a) in his last seven games. The Mavericks are averaging 3.8 goals per game in their last eight games. Missouri is at Orlando on Monday and Tuesday and Indy on Saturday and Sunday.
Lindsay Sparks is tied for second with 23 points (10g-13a). Rapid City has killed 28 straight opponent power-play opportunities and has not surrendered a power-play goal over its last 11 games. The Rush host Colorado on Wednesday and visit the Eagles on Friday and Saturday.
Ralph Cuddemi (45) and Shane Walsh (44) are the top two rookies in the league in shots on goal. The Grizzlies are 7-0-1 when leading after two periods. Utah hosts Allen on Wednesday and is at Alaska on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
