Matt Dacey Named New York-Penn League Offensive Player of the Week

FISHKILL, NY-- Minor League Baseball announced that Hudson Valley's Matt Dacey was named the New York-Penn League Offensive Player of the Week for the week of July 6-12.

Dacey made his professional debut with Hudson Valley on July 9th against the Brooklyn Cyclones and made an impact while in the Renegades lineup. On July 10th against Brooklyn, Dacey collected his first professional hit and finished the night going three-for-five with two doubles and two RBI. The next night in a 5-3 win against the Batavia Muckdogs on July 11th, Dacey hit a three-run double to lift the Renegades to their second consecutive win. To cap off the week, Dacey drove in five runs and scored three more, while going four-for-five in a 14-6 win over Batavia.

In just four games on the week, the 2015 Tampa Bay Rays 21st Round Draft pick went 8-for-16 with six extra base hits and 10 RBI along with a .556 slugging percentage.
