RED DEER, AB - With a pair of new faces in their lineup, the Rebels sought to avenge a 4-1 loss to the Raiders in Prince Albert back on October 2.

FIRST PERIOD

It looked as though an evenly matched openening period would end scoreless, until the Rebels found themselves on the powerplay.  Matt Bellerive's shot from the slot was blocked, the rebound landed right on Brady Gaudet's tape.  He blasted home a shot in off the crossbar for his third goal with 2.1 seconds left in the frame.  Conner Bleackley also picked up an assist on the goal which made it 1-0 Rebels.

SECOND PERIOD

The Rebels powerplay unit would strike again early in the middle frame.  Haydn Fleury's point shot through a maze of players would be tipped home by Bleackley, his sixth goal on the season.  Bellerive with the second assist on the goal, 2-0 Rebels at 4:21.

THIRD PERIOD

Just as the Raiders looked as though they were building an attack, Rhyse Dieno stole the puck and stole back the momentum for the Rebels.  Dieno picked off a pass in the Raiders zone and beat Cole Cheveldave for his fourth goal of the season, unassisted, at 4:26 to make it 3-0 Rebels.

Give the Raiders credit, they kept up with their pressure until they finally were able to beat Patrik Bartosak for their first goal of the game.  Sawyer Lange snapped home his second of the year, unassisted, at 13:03 to make it a 3-1 game.

Prince Albert completed their comeback by scoring a pair of goals while with their goalie on the bench.  Josh Morrisey made it 3-2 with his third goal of the season at 18:17.  Leon Draisaitl sent this game to overtime by scoring his sixth of the year with 25.2 seconds remaining, 3-3.

OVERTIME

The Rebels played some of their best hockey of the game in extra time and it paid off.  Matt Bellerive found the rebound from a Conner Bleackley shot and scored the game winner with 26.1 seconds left to go.  Wyatt Johnson also earned an assist on the goal which gave the Rebels a 4-3 win.
