FIRST PERIOD

After opening last night's scoring in the final minute of the opening frame, the Rebels did it in the opening minute of tonight's affair.  Wyatt Johnson scooped up the rebound off of Kayle Doetzel's point shot and beat Garret Hughson for his second goal of the year.  Rhyse Dieno earned the second assist on the goal just 30 seconds into the game, 1-0 Rebels.

SECOND PERIOD

No scoring.

THIRD PERIOD

The Chiefs stole the lead with a pair of goals in less than a minute from their two big guns.  Michael Aviani netted his ninth goal of the season, beating Patrik Bartosak at 8:15.  Then, with the Rebels shorthanded due to a too many men bench minor, Mitch Holmberg snapped home his eleventh at 9:10, 2-1 Chiefs at that point.

The Rebels got back on even terms while on a powerplay of their own.  Haydn Fleury's wrist shot from the point eluded a screened Hughson at 12:21, Brady Gaudet and Dieno with the assists, tying the game 2-2.

Spokane responded with the eventual game winning goal at 17:40.  Jackson Playfair, who was in the middle of the action right from the opening faceoff, beat Bartosak for his first goal of the season.  The Chiefs skate to a 3-2 victory.
