Mather Loaned to Binghamton

Johnstown, PA- Johnstown Chiefs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Toby O'Brien announced today that they have loaned center Shawn Mather (MAY-ther) to the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League.

Mather, 23, is third on the team in scoring this season with 14 goals and 30 points. The 5'10, 190 LBS native of Chatham, Ontario is no stranger to the AHL. He played in 40 games last season for the Saint John Flames.

Mather will be in the lineup tonight when the Senators host the Syracuse Crunch at 7:05 p.m.

The Chiefs take to the road this weekend for a pair of games. Friday night they are at Toledo and Saturday they visit the Reading Royals. Saturday, February 21st is NASCAR night when the Chiefs host the Trenton Titans. Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s #8 Budweiser car will be displayed in the arena and the first 1,500 people through the gate will receive a commemorative Bud car poster from Von's United Beverage.
