Maple Leafs set franchise record for wins

The St. John's Maple Leafs set a new franchise record for wins in a season with 46 after a 4-1 victory over the Edmonton Roadrunners on Saturday night. The previous mark of 45 wins was set in 1993-94.

Last week the club also broke its franchise record for home wins and finished the season with 28 wins at Mile One Stadium. The previous mark of 25 was set in 1992-93.

St. John's finished the regular season in 2nd place in the North Division with a 46-18-1-5 record (98 points). The team also finished with a 28-9-0-3 record at home.

The St. John's Maple Leafs face the Manitoba Moose in Game 1 of the North Division Semi-Final on Wednesday, April 20. The game will be broadcasted on Radio NL (930AM), Rogers Television (Ch.9) and www.sjmapleleafs.ca starting at 7:35pm (NT).
