SUPERB GOALTENDING:

Connor Hellebuyck has made 25-plus saves in each of his last six games. He is currently tied for ninth in the AHL in goals against average (2.12) and sixth in save percentage (.939). Eric Comrie who didn't play this past weekend is tied for third with a .942 save percentage.

LEADING SCORER:

Brenden Kichton recorded an assist on Sunday and continues to lead the team in scoring with seven points (2G, 5A) in 11 games played. He is currently tied for 12th among AHL defencemen in scoring.

SCORING ROOKIE:

Chase De Leo had an assist for the second straight game and now has five assists in 11 games this season. His five assists match him with Brenden Kichton for the team lead for assists. He leads all Moose rookies in scoring.

INJURY BUG:

The Moose have had a run of bad luck particularly with veteran players. Thomas Raffl (upper body) has been unable to play since the first game of the season, while being added to the infirmary more recently are Matt Fraser (upper body), John Albert (lower body), Jan Kostalek (lower body) and Jay Harrison (lower body). None of them were able to play this past weekend.

ADDED HELP

The Moose had four roster moves last week starting with assistant captain Patrice Cormier who was called up to the NHL's Winnipeg Jets. As part of that move the Moose recalled forward Ben Walker from Tulsa of the ECHL. Walker has AHL experience having played 36 games with St. John's last season scoring four points and 16 penalty minutes. On Friday Manitoba recalled defenceman Brennan Serville as well from Tulsa and the team signed Kevin Lynch from the ECHL's Florida Everblades to a professional tryout offer. Serville has yet to play a game in the AHL in his first year of pro hockey while Lynch spent the majority of last season with the Syracuse Crunch where he had four points (3G-1A) in 53 games.
