Panthers Assign Brickley to Portland

Portland, ME - Florida Panthers General Manager Dale Tallon today announced the reassignment of forward Connor Brickley to the Portland Pirates.

Brickley, a 6-foot-1, 195 pound left wing from Everett, Massachusetts, played ten games this season with Florida in his first ever NHL stint. The 23 year-old scored one goal and added two assists for three points to go along with 14 penalty minutes and a plus-3 rating.

Chosen by Florida in the Second Round (50th Overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Brickley scored 22 goals and 25 assists for 47 points in 73 games during his rookie year last season with the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL. He also added a goal and an assist in three Calder Cup Playoffs games.

Brickley made his pro debut at the end of the 2013-14 season, playing eight games with San Antonio, scoring a goal and adding an assist for two points. Before turning pro, Brickley played four seasons of NCAA Division I Men's Hockey for the University of Vermont Catamounts.

Brickley will join the Pirates in time for Wednesday night's home game at Cross Insurance Arena against the Hartford Wolf Pack.

The Pirates continue their three-game home stand with as they kick off a two-game series against the Hartford Wolf Pack on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. Portland hosts Hartford again for Military Appreciation Night, Presented by Dunkin Donuts, on Friday at 7:00 p.m. The Pirates will wear special patriotic jerseys on Friday night in appreciation of all branches of the United States Military. The game-worn jerseys will be put up for online auction in the week following the game, with proceeds to benefit to the Travis Mills Foundation.
