Beloit Sky Carp News Release

BELOIT, Wisc. - The Snappers got a fifth player named to the Midwest League All-Star Game on Tuesday.

Left-handed pitcher Evan Manarino will be a part of the Western squad. Manarino has had an excellent first half for the Snappers. Manarino is currently 5-2 with a 1.87 ERA in 67 1/3 innings. Manarino has struck out 58 and holding opponents to a .242 average. Manarino has been dialed in since his first start in early April and been one of the most consistent starters in 2016.

Manarino joins catcher Jose Chavez and starting pitcher Boomer Biegalski as the other players representing Beloit in the 2016 Midwest League All-Star Game. Although Skye Bolt and Angel Duno were voted onto the All-Star roster, they will not play due to injury. The All-Star game will be held on Tuesday, June 21 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The Beloit Snappers are a member of the Midwest League and are a fourth year Class-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics.
