Mallards Notes
Last Night
Brody Hoffman made 30 saves and Zach Pochiro's second period goal stood up as the game winner as the host Mallards defeated the Evansville IceMen 3-1.
Playoff Picture
The Mallards occupy eighth place in the ECHL's Western Conference and with it the final playoff spot in the conference. Last night's win combined with the Tulsa Oilers' loss to the Utah Grizzlies enabled the Mallards to move one point ahead of Tulsa. The Mallards have eight games remaining while Tulsa has nine games left.
Rolling
The Mallards have won five of their last six games.
On the Road Again
The Mallards tonight kick off a three-game road trip that will see them meet the Thunder again next Tuesday night before visiting the Missouri Mavericks next Wednesday evening. By defeating the Komets in Fort Wayne 2-1 in overtime last Saturday the Mallards finished a stretch of six straight road games 5-1-0. Overall the Mallards have won seven of their last eight away games.
Home Sweet Home
With last night's win the Mallards stopped a three-game (0-2-1) home winless streak.
Division
Last night's win ended a stretch of eight straight games against division opponents for the Mallards. They went 6-2-0 during that stretch and have gone 16-14-1 against division foes this season.
Iced Out
The Mallards last night won for the sixth time in seven games against the IceMen this season.
Between the Pipes
Brody Hoffman last night made 30 saves while earning the win in his first start since March 11. P.J. Musico had started five straight games before last night.
Arch Madness
Olivier Archambault scored an empty net goal last night to move into a tie with Matt Neal for the team lead in points (42) and extend his Mallard season high point-scoring streak to nine games (3-6-9).
Blackjack
Matt Carey last night scored his team leading twenty-first goal and team leading sixth power play goal with just 53.6 seconds left in the first period.

Jared Knight assisted on the goals scored by Archambault and Pochiro last night.
Debut
Trevor Cox made his professional debut last night after signing with the Mallards yesterday.
Special Teams
The Mallards went 1 for 2 on the power play last night and successfully completed their only penalty kill. They have now survived 23 of their opponents' last 24 power plays. The Mallards are tied for eleventh in the ECHL in penalty killing (84.8 percent). They rank sixteenth on the man advantage (16.2 percent).

Head to Head
The Mallards have gone 3-0-2 against the Thunder this season and have gone 1-0-1 in Wichita. The Thunder won the last meeting between the two teams- March 5 at the iWireless Center- 3-2 in overtime when former Mallard Miles Koules scored the game winner. Each of the first two games between the two clubs at INTRUST Bank Arena went to the shootout: the Thunder edged the Mallards 5-4 on October 17; the Mallards claimed a 2-1 victory on February 16. The clubs wrap up their season series Tuesday in Wichita. The Mallards have gone 16-17-3 all-time against the Thunder and have gone 7-9-1 at INTRUST Bank Arena.
