After a hard-fought loss in game one of the set in Kenosha against the Kingfish (6-4), the Madison Mallards (5-5) came back and cruised to a victory in game two by a final of 7-1.
The Mallards got off to an early lead when Drake Baldwin (Missouri State) hit a single that brought in two runs in the form of Dominic Toso (Richmond) and Alex Iadisernia (Elon).
Then the Ducks used the fifth and sixth innings to tack on insurance runs. Cam Cratic (Missouri State) hit an RBI-triple in the 5th inning to score Cam Frederick (Creighton).
The sixth inning brought home three runs as Tyler Dean (St. Edwards) and Frederick each hit singles that scored runs.
Finally, the Mallards weren't done scoring as they brought home two run in the top of the 9th as Frederick scored once again on a fielder's choice plus an error followed by Cratic scoring on a groundout.
