ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies, have announced that goaltender Rob Madore has been reassigned to the Solar Bears from the Toronto Marlies.

Madore, 27, returns to the Solar Bears after being recalled to Toronto for the third time this season on Dec. 31. While with Toronto, Madore extended his unbeaten streak with the Marlies to three games in three appearances, as the goaltender is now 3-0-0 with a 1.67 goals-against average and a .936 save percentage in the AHL this season. In 15 games with Orlando, Madore has a 5-6-4 record with a 2.99 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage.

The Solar Bears host the Florida Everblades in a Wawa Sunshine Cup Series game as they continue their fourth season in the ECHL, presented by Auto Justice Attorney Michael T. Gibson, P.A. on Sunday, Jan. 3 at 6:00 p.m. at the Amway Center.

Sunday's game is also the second game of Orlando's Hockey Fights Cancer Weekend festivities, as the Solar Bears will wear specialty pink jerseys.
