Boise, ID - Jack Campbell made 28 saves to earn his second career shutout with Idaho, as the Steelheads (15-15-5) took the rubber game of this three-game series with a 1-0 win over the Colorado Eagles (15-16-2).

Emil Molin netted his 13th goal of the season at 8:01 of the first period for the game's only goal. With the puck coming high in the Colorado zone, Steelheads' defenseman Jake Rutt caught an edge and fell to the ice. From his knees, Rutt managed to keep the puck alive to the corner where Rob Linsmayer swung a pass through a maze of sticks to Molin in the high slot. With Eagles' defenseman Sean Zimmerman sliding to a knee in front of Molin, the forward faked the shot, dragged the puck to change the angle, and fired a wrist shot through a screen and through Levine to give the Steelheads a lead they would not surrender.

Levine was sharp in goal for Colorado for the second straight game, making 23 saves on the night. Campbell was just that much better, saving his best for the third period when he made several of his most difficult saves, including a breakaway stop on Kyle Kraemer and an stop on a 2-on-1 on Everett Sheen.

Campbell's shutout was Idaho's first since April 1st of last season, when Olivier Roy backstopped the Steelheads to a 5-0 win over the Alaska Aces. It was Idaho's first 1-0 win since February 20th of last season over Stockton.

The Steelheads power play has shouldered much of the load over the course of the Steelheads 8-1-1 run, but tonight it was the penalty kill that stepped up. The Steelheads killed all five attempts for the league's fifth-ranked power play, including terrific shot-blocking nights for Carson McMillan and Andrew Carroll. Positionally, it was one of the Steelheads' best games in their own zone this season.

The Steelheads extended their lead over Colorado to three points in the West Division, second place behind Utah. The Eagles hold two games in hand.

The Steelheads kick off a two-game series with the Utah Grizzlies at Maverik Center this Friday. Puck-drop is scheduled for 7:05pm MT, with the game available on radio on 1350AM KTIK and seen on ECHLTV.
