INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel announced today that the team has signed veteran forward Adam Lapsansky to an ECHL standard players contract.

The 25-year-old Lapsansky comes to the Fuel after helping HC Kosice to the Slovakian Extraliga title in 2014-15 following a regular season where he posted a team-leading 23 goals, which also tied for sixth-best in the league. His 33 points was fourth on HC Kosice last season.

A native of Spisska Nova Ves, Slovakia, Lapsansky played his first game in the Slovakian Extraliga when he was just 16 years old, debuting with HK SKP Poprad at the end of the regular season and going on to appear in six playoff games as well.

Since then, the 6-0, 196 lb. left wing has spent most of his career in the Slovakian Extraliga, divided by two years playing in the Czech Republic from 2011-13.

Lapsansky also has extensive international experience, representing Slovakia twice at the U-18 World Junior Championships, once at the U-20 World Junior Championships, and four stints with the Slovakian national team including eight games last season in which he scored three goals.

In total, he has appeared in 435 games at the professional level plus another 16 in International competition. He has 125 goals and 208 points in that span.

The Fuel return to action this Friday and Saturday night hosting the Evansville IceMen at 7:35 pm at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Radio coverage begins with the Morellis Cleaners pregame show 15 minutes prior to puck drop on CBS Sports 1430 AM.
