Wichita is 0-0-0-0 vs. Evansville
HEAD-TO-HEAD - This is the first of three meetings this season between the Thunder and the IceMen. All-time, Wichita is 4-4-0 against Evansville and 3-1-0 on the road in the series.
PUTTING OUT THE FIRE - Wichita ended its six-game losing skid last night, beating Indy by the final of 2-1. The Thunder win the regular-season series against Indy, improving to 2-0-0-0. It was also the Thunder's first regulation win since November 25th and ironically, that came against the Fuel in a 5-1 win at home.
FIRSTS - Logan Nelson and Martin Nemcik provided the Thunder offense last night and each recorded their first goals in a Thunder uniform. Nelson has five markers on the season, including four that he scored with Quad City. Nemcik potted his first ECHL goal that helped the Thunder tie the game.
YOU AGAIN - Wichita finishes its three-game road trip today against the Evansville IceMen. This is the first trip to the Ford Center for the Thunder since the 2011-12 season when both teams were members of the CHL. Evansville won the last meeting against the Thunder on March 24th, 2012 by the final of 3-1.
FAMILIAR FACES - Three current players on the Thunder roster played in Evansville last year. With both Donnie Harris and Peter Sakaris out of the line-up, Brandon Martell will be the only one facing his old team today. Martell played in 52 games last season for the IceMen. Michael Trebish, who played in Wichita last season, will face his old team for the first time this season.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN - Wichita plays its second game of 2016 on the road today against the IceMen. The Thunder end their three-game road trip this afternoon and return home on January 8th against Tulsa.

AROUND THE ECHL - There are six other games tonight in the ECHL. Greenville takes on Manchester. Cincinnati plays in South Carolina. Adirondack goes to Reading. Norfolk is in Wheeling. Elmira takes on Toledo. Florida goes to Orlando.
UP NEXT - Wichita will return to action with a home-and-home series against the Tulsa Oilers starting next Friday at INTRUST Bank Arena at 7:05 p.m.
