Mack Activated; Santana Promoted

CHARLESTON, SC - The New York Yankees announced Tuesday that Charleston RiverDogs outfielder Francisco Santana has been promoted to the High-A Tampa Yankees and outfielder DeAngelo Mack has been activated from the DL.

Mack, a West Columbia, S.C. native, appeared in 111 games with the RiverDogs this season, including 53 starts at left field, 51 at right field and seven starts as DH, before being placed on the DL on August 22. The former South Carolina Gamecock is currently batting .257, with 50 runs, 20 doubles, five triples, 11 home runs and 54 RBI.

Santana, a Higuey, Dominican Republic native, appeared in 34 games with the RiverDogs after joining the club on June 24, including 17 starts at right field, 10 at center, four as DH, two at left field and one appearance as solely a pinch runner. The 22-year-old is currently batting .257 on the year, with 16 runs, five doubles, one triple, two home runs and 15 RBI.
