Lynx Win in Bottom of the Ninth

Both starting pitchers held the bats at bay through four and a half innings. The Lynx struck first with a run in the bottom of the fifth, when Randy Ruiz led off with a single and came all the way around to score on Carlos Leon's one-out double.

Scranton came back with two runs in the top of the sixth, but Ottawa evened the score with another run in the bottom of the inning. Brennan King reached on a two-base error, moved to third on a groundout and scored on Jason Jaramillo's RBI single. Scranton put another run on the board in the top of the seventh but the Lynx came back to tie again in the bottom of the inning.

Chris Roberson started things off, singling with two out and moving to second on a throwing error before scoring on Joe Thurston's single. The Lynx got the winning run in the bottom of the ninth, sending the Lynx fans home happy when Carlos Leon walked, moving to second on Chris Roberson's single and then to third when Joe Thurston walked to load the bases. Brennan King's sacrifice fly cashed in Leon for the win.
