Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees News Release
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Headlined by the leading home run hitters in the Pacific Coast and International Leagues, six of Triple-A Baseball's top sluggers are set to compete in the 2007 All-Star Home Run Derby scheduled for July 9th at 7:05 p.m. (Mountain Daylight Time) at Isotopes Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The event will also include two local high school participants and former Major League players.
IL representative Mike Hessman of the Toledo Mud Hens is the current overall Triple-A home run leader with 25 round-trippers. Joining Hessman on the IL side will be Shelley Duncan (21 home runs) of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees and John-Ford Griffin (18 home runs) of the Syracuse Chiefs, who currently sit in the second and third positions respectively in the IL home run race. Duncan is now just four home runs shy of matching the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre franchise single season HR record set by Wendell Magee in 1998.

Brazell is currently tied for the home run lead in the PCL with 22 dingers while Pascucci (20 home runs) and Seabol (19 home runs) trail right behind him.
