OTTAWA - The first Lynx Media Hot Dog Eating Contest crowned its hot dog king and raised almost $1,500 for charity.

A-Channel Morning's Kurt Stoodley took home the crown after eating 11 hot dogs between the middle of the first inning and the middle of the sixth. Stoodley also raised $179.84 for The Boys and Girls Club through fan donations and his silent auction donation.

Here is how the contestants fared in this frankfurter face-off..

Ric Davey from The Ottawa Citizen was the next hungriest contestant, eating eight hot dogs and raising $182.19 for CanWest Raise-A-Reader.

Big Bad Sports Show host Tony House downed seven hot dogs and raised $289.53 for The Boys and Girls Club.

Jacqui Delaney from The Bear's Breakfast also ate seven hot dogs and raised $256. 66 for The Bear's Children's Fund.

Hot 89.9's Mauler scarfed down six hot dogs and raised $227.20 for The Candlelighters.

CTV Ottawa Sports anchor Terry Marcotte put five hot dogs away and raised $223.23 for The Max Keeping Foundation.

The next 25-Cent Hot Dog Night is scheduled for August 2nd when the Lynx take on the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees. Game time is 7:05 pm.
