Augusta Lynx News Release

The Augusta Lynx announced Tuesday the signing of forward Rob Pascale (pass-CAL) out of Stonehill College in Massachusetts.

Pascale, 21, played four years at Stonehill, becoming the Chieftain's all-time leading scorer over the course of his career, and setting a school record with 52 points (27-25-52) his Junior season. Serving as an assistant captain with the club this season, the 6-2, 205 lb. winger led the team in power play goals (12) and tied for first in game winning goals with three. His four-year totals saw him score 79 goals and 160 points over 89 games with Stonehill, an ECAC Northeast Division II school.

"He's a big, strong guy who has a good set of skills," said Lynx Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Stan Drulia. "He's another one of those guys who could be a piece of the puzzle for next season. We're glad to have him with us."

To make room for Pascale on the roster, the Lynx today placed injured defenseman Rob Stanfield on the 7-Day IR. Stanfield, who has not played since March 14th against Pensacola, is unlikely to return to the lineup this season.

The Lynx will now travel to South Carolina to battle the Stingrays at 7:05 pm, with the pre-game show kicking off at 6:55 pm with Tom Callahan on EAGLE 102. Augusta will finish out the regular season this week with Thursday's Fan Appreciation Night against Columbus at 7:05 pm, when it's Comcast team photo night for the first 3,000 fans in the doors! Then the Lynx take to the road to play Florida Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 pm to round out the year. All games will be broadcast live on EAGLE 102, or along the internet at www.augustalynx.com.
