Rennette Named InGlasCo Player of the Week

Peoria, Ill. (March 30, 2004) – The ECHL announced today that Peoria Rivermen fifth-year center Tyler Rennette has been selected as the InGlasCo Player of the Week for March 22-28.

Rennette – a 6-foot-1, 191-pound native of North Bay, Ontario – notched 10 points (4g, 6a) in four games last week with a +6 plus/minus. On Wednesday in a 4-3 road win over the Cincinnati Cyclones, he registered two goals and had three points. On Friday at home in the first of two in a row against the archrival Dayton Bombers, the 24-year-old collected three assists and a +3 plus/minus in a 6-0 shutout victory.

Rennette added two points (1g, 1a) in a commanding 8-2 win over the Bombers on Saturday night and followed that with another two points (1g, 1a) in an 8-2 victory over the archrival Toledo Storm on Sunday afternoon.

Recently named Team MVP by a vote of the Rivermen players, Rennette leads the team in goals (T-30), points (65) and plus/minus (+33).

On behalf of Tyler Rennette, a case of pucks will be donated to a Peoria area youth hockey organization by InGlasCo.

The Rivermen – a member of the ECHL, America's Premier "AA" Hockey League – face off against the archrival Dayton Bombers on Friday, April 2 on the road in their final game of the 2003-2004 regular season. Game time is 6:00 p.m. CT at the Nutter Center.
