IceGators to auction warm up jerseys

Lafayette, LA â The Louisiana IceGators announced today that they will auction off the jerseys, sponsored by Frank's Casing, worn by the IceGators during each pre-game warm up. The online auction will run from 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 31 through 5 p.m. Friday, April 2. Updated bid amounts will be posted on the IceGators website, www.icegators.com
Ten jerseys will be available for the online auction. Bids may be submitted by sending an email to auction@icegators.com. Bids submitted before 9 a.m Wednesday or after 5 p.m Friday (CST) will not be considered. Opening bids for the online auction will be $300. The jerseys auctioned online will be #2, #4, #8, #10, #14, #16, #19, #23, #28, #34, and #35.
The warm up jerseys not used in the online auction will be up for silent auction during the April 1 game against the Pensacola Ice Pilots. The in-game silent auction will begin at 6 p.m. at the Ticket Information Booth behind section 201. Bids will be accepted until the final buzzer of the second intermission. Opening bids for the silent auction will be $300. The jerseys for the silent auction will be #3, #6, #7, #9, #13, #15, #18, #21, #25, #27, and #29.
Auction winners will receive a Certificate of Ownership upon conclusion of the auctions and will receive the jersey and a Certificate of Authenticity upon the conclusion of the Kelly Cup Playoffs. IceGators team, staff, owners and affiliates of the organization are excluded from the bidding.
The IceGators have clinched home ice for the first round of the 2004 Kelly Cup Playoffs. The IceGators playoff schedule will depend on how the final regular season rankings fall. If the IceGators square off with either the Pensacola Ice Pilots or the Gwinnett Gladiators, the first two games of the playoffs will take place on Wednesday, April 7 and Thursday, April 8. If the opponent is the Columbus Cottonmouths, the first two games will be Thursday, April 8 and Saturday, April 10.
Playoff packages are still available and individual playoff game tickets are now on sale. Please contact the IceGators office at 234-4423 to order playoff packages. Individual tickets are available by calling Ticket Master at 337-262-8686 or at the Cajundome box office.
