LANSING, Mich. - The Lansing Lugnuts are opening a historic season on Wednesday night at Cooley Law School Stadium in one-of-a-kind fashion. For the first time in professional sports history, all fans will eat for free.

In honor of the franchise's 15th season, tickets are just $15 for fans to enjoy all-you-can-eat food at the 7:05 p.m. game against the Lake County Captains.

"We've never done anything like this before," said Lugnuts co-owner Tom Dickson. "No one has."

Hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, brats... all of the food in the ballpark will be unlimited and delicious.

"We might need to change the 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' lyrics," added Director of Food and Beverage Brett Telder, already hard at work preparing for the game. "Enjoy your peanuts and crackerjacks, but don't worry about buying them. Bon appétit!"

One of the most popular and successful teams in Minor League history, the Lansing Lugnuts broke national records by drawing over a million fans in their first two seasons. The Nuts regularly rank among all franchises in national merchandise sales.

Tickets to the Opening Night Eat-a-Palooza as well as the entire Lugnuts' 2010 home schedule are available for purchase online at www.lansinglugnuts.com, at the stadium box office located at 505 E. Michigan Ave., or by calling 517-485-4500.
