MIDLAND, Mich. - Pinch-hitter Brad Glenn's first homer of the season broke a 1-1 tie in the ninth, as the Lansing Lugnuts (3-3) completed a three-game sweep of the Great Lakes Loons (3-3) with a 2-1 win on Tuesday night at Dow Diamond.

Lugnuts pitchers Ryan Shopshire and Dustin Antolin combined to limit the Midwest League's top hitting team to only three base hits in the game, the Lugnuts' fifth one-run decision of the young season.

After starter Shopshire gave up a pair of walks to open the seventh, Antolin (1-0) entered and set down the final nine Loons batters.

That made a hero of Glenn, who pinch-hit for Jon Talley with one out in the ninth and walloped a 1-0 pitch from Andy Suiter (0-1) through a brisk wind and high over the left field wall.

The Lugnuts' first run of the game came from Oliver Dominguez, the game's second batter, who hit his first home run of the year.

Great Lakes tied the score in the fifth on a Gorman Erickson RBI fielder's choice, only to see their hopes of winning dashed by fine pitching and the clutch blow from the Lugnuts' slugger off the bench.

On Wednesday at 7:05 p.m., the Lugnuts open their home schedule with an Opening Day Eat-a-Palooza. For $15, fans can purchase a ticket to see the Lugnuts battle the Lake County Captains and enjoy unlimited food inside the ballpark. Additionally, the inaugural Lansing Lugnuts Hall of Fame class will be inducted in a special pre-game ceremony.

Tickets to the April 26th Crosstown Showdown as well as the entire Lugnuts' 2010 home schedule are available for purchase online at www.lansinglugnuts.com, at the stadium box office, and by calling 517-485-4500.
