Louisville Bats Host Kids Clinic During Five-Game Homestand

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville Bats return home from their second road trip of the season for a quick five-game homestand versus the Durham Bulls and Norfolk Tides at Louisville Slugger Field on Saturday, April 30. The homestand opens with the Bats' Kids Clinic presented by Kosair Children's Hospital on Saturday and gates open at 4:30 p.m. Children between the ages of 6-12 can come down onto the field and receive instruction from Bats coaches and players on a variety of skills including hitting, pitching and base running.

Saturday is also the first Peanut Allergy Awareness Night presented by Allergy Partners of Louisville. No peanut or nut based products will be sold in the stadium on Saturday. Rounding out Saturday is the second Friends and Family Night of the season presented by Raising Canes.

The popular Princess Day returns to Louisville Slugger Field again this season on Sunday where children will be able to take photos with the four princesses (Cinderella, Snow White, Belle and Elsa) beginning at 2:15 p.m. Again this season, Sunday is Kids Day at the ballpark. Kids can enjoy the Inflatable KidsZone, run the bases after the game, and kids 12-and-under can receive a FREE Kids Meal consisting of a hot dog, junior nacho, and small Pepsi.

The first Dog Day of 2016 will be Tuesday, May 3. Fans can purchase $8 tickets for themselves and $3 per dog, which will be donated to the KY Humane Society. Dogs and owners can enter the stadium through the Witherspoon Gate or Jackson Street entrances and sit in the outfield areas.

The homestand will conclude with the Bats second and final Education Day game of the season. First pitch is scheduled for 11:05 a.m.

The Bats enter Friday's game at Durham 11-8, in second place in the International League West, 1.5 games back of the Columbus Clippers. The Bats have won five in a row and look to sweep back-to-back series' on the road. Infielder Jermaine Curtis leads the league with his .408 average and 18 runs batted in and Josh Smith is sixth in the league with a 1.13 earned run average in four starts.

The Bats have averaged 8,827 fans per game at Louisville Slugger Field since its opening in 2000 and have totaled over 10 million fans through 16 seasons. Homestand Highlights April 30-May 4

Saturday, April 30 - Louisville Bats vs. Durham Bulls - 6:05 p.m.

- Pregame Kids Clinic presented by Kosair Children's Hospital: Children between the ages of 6-12 are able to go onto the field and receive instruction from Bats players and coaches on a variety of skills including hitting, pitching and base running. It is recommended that children bring their gloves.

- Peanut Allergy Awareness Night: No peanut or nut products will be sold in the stadium on this night, presented by Allergy Partners of Louisville.

- Friends & Family Night: Family of four (4) for $39 gets four Field Reserved tickets, four hats and four Raising Cane's meal vouchers to be redeemed at the information booth on the third base side of the ballpark.

- Back Yard Bash: Cornhole on the Overlook until 7:30; $3 14 oz. Goose Island IPA, AmberBock and Shock Top at the Overlook Grill until the end of the 7th inning; adult fans may register to win two (2) 2016 World Series tickets, presented by Budweiser.

- Appearance by Jake the Diamond Dog presented by PNC Bank.

Sunday, May 1 - Louisville Bats vs. Durham Bulls - 2:05 p.m.

- Princess Day: Cinderella, Snow White, Belle and Elsa will make an appearance at Louisville Slugger Field. The princesses will be available for photos with children beginning at 2:15 in the Hall of Fame Pavilion on the west side of the stadium.

- Kids Eat Free: Once again in 2016 at every Sunday home game, all kids 12-and-uner with paid admission receive a free hot dog, junior nacho and small Pepsi. One meal per child.

- Inflatable KidsZone: Inflated from 1-4 p.m. in the West Hall of Fame pavilion, presented by Mortenson Family Dental, BracesBracesBraces and Kids Dentistree.

- Postgame Kids Run the Bases, presented by Meijer and the YMCA

Monday, May 2 - Louisville Bats vs. Norfolk Tides - 7:05 p.m.

- Margarita Monday: 12 oz. margaritas available for $3 behind Section 122 on the third-base side.

- Meijer Monday: Fans receive $3 off per field reserved seat when presenting any Meijer receipt to the box office window.

- White Castle Guarantee Win Monday: If the Bats win, fans can take their ticket stub to White Castle for a FREE classic slider (good either Monday night or all day Tuesday at area White Castles).

Tuesday, May 3 - Louisville Bats vs. Norfolk Tides - 7:05 p.m.

- Dog Day: There is an $8 admission for dog owners and $3 admission per dog (to be donated to the KY Humane Society). Dogs and owners can enter through the Witherspoon or Jackson Street entrances and sit in the roped off outfield areas.

- $1 Hot Dogs and Pepsi Products, presented by Pepsi and Meijer

- Baseball Bingo: Winner receives a $50 Meijer gift card.

Wednesday, May 4 - Louisville Bats vs. Norfolk Tides - 11:05 a.m.
