Lockin Pops On Hawks Roster

South Bend, IN – The Arizona Diamondbacks, the parent team to the Class A South Bend Silver Hawks of the Midwest League, have called up infielder Billy Lockin from extended spring training.

Lockin comes to the Silver Hawks a day after outfielder Brandon Simon was promoted to the Lancaster Jethawks of the California League.

Last season with the Yakima Bears, Lockin hit .200 and knocked in 7 runs in 17 games.

The 37th round selection of the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2004 draft, attended Loyola-Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA.

Lockin will join the Silver Hawks at the start of their 8 game road trip in Cedar Rapids which begins tomorrow night.

The Silver Hawks complete a four game homestand tonight as they play host to the Burlington Bees. Tonight is Ultra Thursday. Ultra Thursday is presented by WB 25 & 103.9 The Bear, featuring live post-game entertainment with the Michelob Ultra Concert Series and a special edition of Launch-a-Ball, where fans can win $1,000!
