
Devil Rays Rundown: Gas Giveaway, US Army Camo Caps, Penny Dogs and Rally

Southwest Michigan Devil Rays News Release
The Southwest Michigan Devil Rays begin the end of their 16 home games in 21 days run with a four-game series against the Minnesota Twins affiliate, the Beloit Snappers on May 27-May 30. The Peoria Chiefs -- the new Chicago Cubs A affiliate -- will come to town just one week after having the Devil Rays visited them in central Illinois. Just a reminder that standard game times will start at 7:05 p.m. beginning on May 31.

FRIDAY, MAY 27: 6:35 p.m. -- Gas Giveaway: First 500 fans through the gates receive one Marathon $8 Gas Card and one fan will receive a $100 gas card. The night is sponsored by the Battle Creek Enquirer and Marathon Oil.
SATURDAY, MAY 28: 6:35 p.m. -- US Army Logo Camo Cap Giveaway to first 1,000 fans through the gates. These camoflauged caps feature the logos from the Devil Rays and the U.S. Army. The night is sponsored by U.S. Army, 107.7 and WOTV 4.
SUNDAY, MAY 29: 2:05 p.m. -- McCullough Family Chiropractic Family Sunday. A cartoon character from Comcast Discovery Channel will be here to entertain the fans during the game. The day is also sponsored by WKFR 103.3 FM. Kids 14 and under can run the bases after the game, weather permitting.
MONDAY, MAY 30: 2:05 p.m. -- Memorial Day Game. Pizza Buffet Day. Fans can have all-you-can-eat pizza for $5 from 1:05 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. in the Carl Pavano first base patio. The Devil Rays will honor fallen police detective LaVern Brann all weekend which culminates today. The Devil Rays are donating $1 for each ticket sold on May 28, 29 and 30. The game is sponsored by Soft Rock 95.3.

TUESDAY, MAY 31: 7:05 p.m. -- Penny Hot Dog Night; Hot Dogs are one penny until the fifth inning. There will be another pre-game hot dog eating contest. Come early and eat as many as you can and try to qualify for the Hot Dog eating finals which will occur later in the season. Courtesy of Red Hot Chicago and WIN 98.5.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1: 7:05 p.m. -- The first Wednesday night game of the season. The Family Fun Park -- with its inflatable slide, obstacle course and bounce house is open from 6:05 p.m. until the end of the game. Its a great place for your son or daughter to be entertained while you enjoy the game. Cost is $1 per event for $5 per child for an evening pass.
THURSDAY, JUNE 2: 7:05 p.m. -- Thirsty Thursday: Select pop and beer are $1 each until the end of the 7th inning. The night is sponsored by Super Rock 104.9. City Cab will be available after the game for fans to use as postgame transportation.
FRIDAY, JUNE 3: 7:05 p.m. -- Rally/ Girl Scout Night. Rally the mascot will entertain fans during the game. Girl Scouts can camp out on the field all night with their troops. The camp out will begin after the conclusion of the game. Call Robin Santiago with the Devil Rays for details at 660-2287.
