
Wizards and Devil Rays Schedule Doubleheader

Fort Wayne, IN â The Fort Wayne Wizards and Southwest Michigan Devil Rays (Tampa Bay Devil Rays affiliate) have rescheduled their rained out contest from Friday, May 13 to Tuesday, June 14.
The Devil Rays return to Memorial Stadium for a series starting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 13. The two teams will play a doubleheader beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14 to make-up the rained out game from Friday, May 13. The series will wrap up with a single game at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15.
The gates to Memorial Stadium will open at 4:45 p.m. for season ticket holders and 5:00 p.m. for regular admission tickets on Tuesday, June 14. Both games for the doubleheader will be seven innings in length.
Fans with tickets from the May 13 game can redeem their tickets for the June 14 game or any remaining Wizards game during the 2005 season.

Wizards Notes:
The Wizards open an eight-game homestand at 6:00 p.m. on Friday when they host the West Michigan Whitecaps (Detroit Tigers affiliate) in the first of a four-game series. Following the four-game series against West Michigan, Fort Wayne will host the Swing of the Quad Cities (St. Louis Cardinals affiliate) starting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31. Former Cardinals left-hander Rick Ankiel was recently reassigned to the Swing as an outfielder.
Saturday, the Fort Wayne Wizards will be giving away Chevy posters to the first 1,000 fans and on Sunday, the first 1,000 fans will receive Instant Copy/Kraft Team Posters.
Memorial Day Weekend has been very successful for the Wizards franchise during the past two seasons. Last year, the Wizards set a franchise record for a four-game series when 25,289 fans (6,322 average) attended the Memorial Day weekend series with the Dayton Dragons. The mark eclipsed the mark of 25,266 fans (6,316) set during the 2003 Memorial Day weekend.
