Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The first-place IronPigs (69-43) play the rubber match of three-game series against the Syracuse Chiefs (47-65) at Coca-Cola Park... With a doubleheader split last night (L, 3-1; W, 11-5), the Pigs maintained their franchise-record lead of 10.0 games on the North Division while trimming their Magic Number to 18. Lehigh Valley has won 12 of its last 16 affairs and 21 of its last 28 contests. The Pigs, who also maintained their season high-water mark, own a 40-17 record since June 3... The Chiefs -- Washington's top affiliate -- have won seven of their last nine contests after a 16-38 stretch from May 30-July 26. With a win today, the Chiefs will win a third-straight series -- their longest since a season-high, four-set winning streak April 9-22... The Pigs are off Monday before starting a six-day, West Division road trip Tuesday at West-leading Indianapolis.
LHP Ranger Suarez (1-0, 2.70) will start for LHV against RHP Austin Voth (4-7, 4.60).
