The IronPigs (53-66) return home to play Game 1 of a three-day, four-game series against the sixth-place Pawtucket Red Sox (44-75) at Coca-Cola Park... With an 11-2 loss in Syracuse last night, the Pigs were swept in a three-game series against the piping-hot Chiefs and finished 5-5 on their season-long, 10-game road trip. Still, the Pigs are 24-18 on their last 42 affairs and are 31-24 since reaching their low-water mark on June 14... The Red Sox -- Boston's top affiliate -- lost 3-2 in Scranton-WB last night to get swept in a four-game series. The Paw Sox have lost a season-high, 11-consecutive games and are just 6-36 since improving to 38-39 on June 28... In the last meeting between these teams, the Pigs took a three-game series, 2-1, at McCoy Stadium from July 10-12.

RHP Alec Asher (1-0, 2.77) will start for LHV against RHP Zeke Spruill (4-9, 4.48).
